The Practice Architect - Big Data Intelligence position is targeted at Data Architects that want to work on innovative and large scale Big Data projects. This position will report directly to the VP and be part of the company’s leading and fast growing Big Data practice. Activities include consulting, pre-sales, design and architecture of big data offerings, business development and resource development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the CTO and other business units to coordinate efforts and activities to execute on the company’s Big Data strategy
- Focus on pre-sales and consulting activities driving the Big Data methodology and offerings including doing presentations, writing proposals, assessing information, and documenting deliverables
- Provide consulting and educational services to customers to define vision, strategy and principles for Big Data adoption
- Assess existing legacy business intelligence, data platforms, business processes, and staffing to recommend transition roadmap to a modern data architecture
- Collaborate with the company’s cloud, virtualization, and other practices on projects that require a holistic enterprise solution
- Focus primarily on local region helping create the go-to-market strategy
- Assist on the delivery of the advanced consulting engagements
- Travel up to 25% might be required to support campaigns but local focus will take priority
- Attend conferences to maintain industry expert status on Big Data solutions.
- Provide leadership for practice resources and overall engineering team
- Provide learning opportunities for the engineering team
- Facilitate relationships with related technology vendors
- Establish relationships at the CXO/VP/Director level in client organizations
- Develop innovative solutions and reference approach for continued practice development
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
